KNOXVILLE — A driver whose vehicle struck an East Knoxville house Sunday has died from his injuries, police said.
Emergency responders arrived about 12:30 p.m. on the 2600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. to find a Cadillac sedan into the side of the home.
Knoxville firefighters had to use heavy equipment to extricate the driver from the car. The man, who has not been identified, was taken by ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead, according to Knoxville Police Department Sgt. James Lockmiller.
