Law enforcement officials search vehicles on South Carolina 34 in Newberry County while searching for four individuals involved in a Tennessee murder on Thursday, April 3, 2014, in Columbia S.C.NEWBERRY, S.C. - The four Tennessee teens who led police on a 10-hour chase in South Carolina last week have waived extradition proceedings.
The Newberry County Sheriff's Office says in a news release that officials there will be working with Tennessee authorities to arrange the return of the 16-year-old boy, 16-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys to Greene County, Tenn.
The 16-year-old boy is accused of killing his 36-year-old father and faces first-degree murder charges in Tennessee. The other three teens face accessory after the fact to murder charges, and all four face theft charges.
The teenagers waived extradition during a juvenile court hearing on Monday.
The Associated Press is not identifying the suspects because they are juveniles. The AP also is not identifying the victim in order to protect the juveniles' identities.
