AUGUSTA, Ga. - Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another wounded in Augusta.
Richmond County sheriff's officials say deputies discovered the slaying early this morning, while responding to a call to Broad Street near the exit ramp leading to South Carolina.
Investigators tell The Augusta Chronicle that one person died and a second person suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Few other details were available early this morning.
