Nearly 100 jurors packed Hamilton County Criminal Court Judge Bary Steelman's courtroom this morning for a trial in which 14 of them will be sequestered and working into the weekend.

The trial stems from first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse charges against Tony Edward Bigoms, 54. in the November 2012 death of Dana Wilkes, 48.

Wilkes had not been heard from since Nov. 10, 2012 when duck hunters discovered her headless and handless body near the creek bed on Nov. 25 near Youngstown Road.

Cigarette butts with Bigoms' DNA were found in Wilkes' vehicle. He was indicted on the charges the following January.

Bigoms was acquitted by a jury in a 2006 trial for the murder of Dinah Burney, who was found dead on Caine Avenue.

He has been in custody since his arrest on the Wilkes' murder.
