UTC Blue/Gold Game tonight

When: Tonight at 7

Where: Finley Stadium

Admission: No charge. Also, hot dogs and Coca-Cola products are free (while supplies last, courtesy of the UTC Mocs Club and Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling), and there is a free youth clinic beginning at 5:15 for eighth-graders and younger. The Mocs will receive their 2013 Southern Conference championship rings.

Format: The first-team offense will be teamed with the second-team defense, which means the offensive starters will scrimmage against the defensive starters, and the second-team offense will play the second-team defense. In trying to avoid injury, none of the kicking and punting situations will be live.

What to look for: Although the play-calling will likely be vanilla, watch for a faster pace of offense, which the Mocs have been working on. Aside from quarterback Jacob Huesman and running back Keon Williams, both returning starters, big-play potential could come from speedster Marquise Green, a change-of-pace back, and redshirt freshman receiver Alphonso Stewart. Also on offense, keep an eye on the battle between Alejandro Bennifield and Tyler Roberson for the backup quarterback job.
