Chattanooga Lookouts fall 6-5 to Smokies

KODAK, Tenn. — Stephen Bruno's one-out single to right field in the bottom of the ninth inning Friday night scored John Andreoli to give the Tennessee Smokies a 6-5 Southern League baseball win over the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Andreoli led off the ninth with a double to right.

The Lookouts (3-5) trailed 5-0 entering the eighth inning but benefited from three Smokies errors in the eighth to score three runs and tied it in the ninth on a Noel Cuevas two-run home run to left.

Tennessee gained its five-run bulge on Dustin Geiger's two-run homer to left in the second inning and Jeudy Valdez's three-run homer to left-center in the seventh.

Game four of the five-game series is tonight at 6:15. Andres Santiago (0-0, 3.60 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Ivan Pineyro (0-1, 2.25) scheduled for the Smokies.
