UTC Mocs logoThe Southern Conference tennis tournaments are being held in Chattanooga this Wednesday through Saturday at the Champions Club, and the league announced the schedule with the first-round men's and women's pairings Saturday evening.
The men's tournament will begin with the ninth-seeded University of Tennessee at Chattanooga facing eighth seed Davidson and seventh seed Wofford taking on No. 10 The Citadel at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The UTC women are seeded third after falling 4-3 to Samford in a battle for second place Saturday, and the Lady Mocs will open at 3 p.m. Thursday against sixth seed Georgia Southern. UTC's women are 10-0 in Chattanooga this season.
The SoCon women's event starts at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Davidson against ninth seed Wofford, which includes former GPS star Sarah Evans, and Appalachian State against Western Carolina in the 7-10 matchup.
The men's semifinals Friday and the final Saturday are set for 10 a.m., and the women's semifinals Friday and final Saturday are scheduled for 2 p.m.
