Suspicious package in front of Mizpah Congregation turns out to be box of books

Chattanooga Police determined that a "suspicious package" in front of the Mizpah Congregation at 923 McCallie Ave. this morning was actually a box of books.

A call to the police about 7:30 reported the suspicious package.

Police responded to the call and about 9:30 determined that it held a box of books.

Police say the suspicious package was delivered by the USPS from an individual who wanted to donate the books to the Mizpah Congregation Library.
