ATLANTA - Thieves stole a car - along with expensive equipment inside - from a car parked outside the Georgia Capitol that belongs to the clerk of the Georgia House of Representatives.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Bill Reilly discovered broken glass and his 1993 Chevy Suburban missing from its spot at the curb of the Capitol on Monday.

Authorities believe someone smashed the window, hot-wired the car and vanished sometime between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday. Reilly said Capitol Police have told him video cameras show two men breaking into the car and driving away.

Reilly had packed the vehicle for a family ski trip to Colorado, and the thieves made off with his son's high-performance ski equipment, cameras, a GPS, tools and prescription sunglasses.
