Investigators search underneath a deck of a West Knoxville home after a body was discovered. (John Messner/Special to the News Sentinel)KNOXVILLE - Authorities said a man's body found under a deck of a West Knoxville home had been there at least a week.
The body of the clothed man was discovered about 7:19 p.m. Wednesday after the homeowner found the source of a disturbing odor she had been trying to locate for days, according to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk.
"The homeowner a couple times had been looking under the deck for the source of the smell but couldn't find it until last night," DeBusk said Thursday.
