JACKSON, Tenn. - The Chattanooga Lookouts won 3-2 Saturday night in the opener of their five-game Southern League baseball series against the Jackson Generals.

Jeremy Hazelbaker's two-run triple followed by Chris O'Brien's double gave the Lookouts a 3-1 lead in the second inning.

Starting pitcher Carlos Frias went 7 1/3 innings to pick up the victory, giving up six hits and four walks and allowing Jackson runs on a Kevin Rivers groundout in the first inning and a bases-loaded walk in the eighth.

Chattanooga left fielder Scott Schebler was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

The series continues tonight at 7:05 EDT. Tyson Brummett (0-0, 1.00) ERA is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts.

Before Saturday's game, shortstop Erisbel Arruebarruena joined the Lookouts out of extended spring training. The Cuban defector signed a five-year, $25 million contract with the Dodgers earlier this year.
