Grandview Medical Center will soon become Parkridge West Hospital.

The name change will occur on May 1, announced Darrell Moore, President and CEO of Parkridge Health System, which acquired the 70-bed Jasper, Tenn hospital in March.

Hospital officials said in a news release that the name change will "complement the facility's position" as a part of the health system, which now includes five campuses.

"As Parkridge West Hospital, this facility and its staff will serve the community with updated technology, excellent customer service and high-quality healthcare," Moore said in the release.

The Marion County hospital features a 24/7 emergency department, medical surgical services and adult behavioral health treatment.
