SAVANNAH, Ga. - The men's wheelchair basketball team training for the 2016 Paralympics is squeezing in a couple of practices during a swing through coastal Georgia.

Officials at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah say the team is scheduled to hold practices at the military base's Tominac Fitness Center today and Saturday.

The U.S. men's team is ranked No. 1 in the world after it defeated Canada at the Pan American championships last November. Canada won the gold medal in men's wheelchair basketball at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.

The U.S. team is scheduled to compete in the June world championships in South Korea.
