Fashion show supports youth arts programs
What: More than 180 guests attended the Performing Arts League’s fashion show and luncheon recently at the Mountain City Club. Mary Earl chaired the event and Gaye Hedden moderated the fashion show of day wear by Anna Ball White Fashions and evening wear by Boutique Couture.
Benefits: Youth programs city-wide in choral, dance, instrumental and theater arts.
More than 350 'Raise the Roof' for Habitat
What: More than 350 guests came to The Chattanoogan hotel for a "Raise the Roof" dinner to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. The featured speaker was Joshua DuBois, President Barack Obama’s spiritual adviser, and former director of The White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He is the author of the best seller, "The President’s Devotional: The Daily Readings That Inspired President Obama."
