A major storm could dump 4 to 6 inches of rain on Southeast Tennessee tonight through Wednesday, bringing rapidly rising water and potentially dangerous flooding. The National Weather Service said the storm track also could bring strong to severe thunderstorms. Rain amounts of 2 to 4 inches or more are expected in North Georgia, and flood watches are in effect for all Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia counties.
