MONTGOMERY, Ala. - More guilty pleas are scheduled in a multi-state dog fighting investigation headquartered in Alabama.

Four people entered guilty pleas Monday in federal court in Montgomery. Three more have filed notice they want to enter guilty pleas at court hearings today. They are Lawrence Watford of Adel, Ga.; Demontt Allen of Houston, Texas; and William Antone Edwards of Brantley, Ala.

They are among 15 people charged with either providing dogs or participating in high-stakes dog fights. So far, 11 of the defendants have filed court papers saying they want to plead guilty.

Federal prosecutor Clark Morris says it feels good to see results from "a horrendous case" that stretched across several states.
