Robert E. CardenLarramore to head law firm
Chattanooa attorney Randall D. Larramore has been elected president of Paty, Rymer & Ulin, P.C., which has now changed its name to Paty, Rymer, Ulin & Larramore, P.C. Larramore received his Master of Public Administration, Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati.
Larramore's practice focuses on employment and civil rights, but he also practices in domestic law, personal injury and general business litigation. He has argued cases before the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Tennessee Supreme Court and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Carden joins local law firm
Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan, PLLC, has added attorney Robert E. Carden to its Chattanooga office.
Carden earned his law degree from the University of Memphis and has experience in insurance defense. His practice will now center on general civil litigation. Carden is a member of the Tennessee and Chattanooga Bar associations and is active in the Chattanooga community, from the Lookout Mountain Conservancy, to co-chair of the Friends of Memorial Council at Memorial Hospital.
Hill joins Unum as assistant VP
David Hill has joined Unum Group as assistant vice president of aviation, where he will oversee the company's corporate aviation team of 13 employees based in Chattanooga. Hill joins Unum following an 18-year career with Duke Energy in Charlotte, N.C., where he led a fleet of 10 and a team of 42.
Hill served 27 years in the U.S. National Guard, including 10 years of active duty. He received his bachelor's degree in aviation business administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Nathan GuerreroGuerrero joins Mortgage South
Nathan Guerrero has joined Mortgage South as a vice president and reverse mortgage specialist.
Guerrero has several years' experience as a reverse mortgage loan officer with national and regional banks. He brings expertise in the reverse for purchase program and will help Mortgage South expand that option for seniors to put their home to work for them.
Egan joins Unum board
Cynthia Egan, senior advisor to the Treasury Department and former president of retirement plan services at T. Rowe Price Group, has been elected to the board of directors of the Chattanooga-based Unum Group.
Recognized as a leader in the retirement industry for defining leading-edge solutions, Egan advises senior Treasury officials on the development of "myRA", a Treasury-sponsored program to support retirement savings for workers not covered by defined contribution or other structured retirement programs.
"We are very fortunate to have Cynthia join our board," Unum Chairman William J. Ryan said. "She brings significant expertise in financial services and the defined contribution industry, and I am certain her perspective and experience will be a tremendous asset to Unum."
As a Unum board member, Egan will serve on the audit and regulatory compliance committees.
