Man struck twice in drive-by shooting refuses to talk with police

A 26-year-old man was struck twice in a drive-by shooting in Chattanooga early this morning, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Police responded to an area hospital around 12:20 a.m. to find Brandon Steward shot twice in the leg.

He told police he was walking on Tunnel Boulevard when a white sedan drove past and shot him.

Police said Steward told investigators he did not wish to pursue prosecution and that he refused to cooperate any further with the investigation.

He was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the left leg and is listed in stable condition.

Chattanooga police ask anyone with information to call 423-698-2525.
