One person died and two were injured early Sunday morning in a single-car crash at Amnicola Highway and Wilcox Boulevard.
Police arrived just before 2 a.m. and found three people in a car that had struck a telephone pole, Chattanooga police confirmed.
Emergency responders immediately took one passenger to a hospital, but the driver and another passenger were trapped in the vehicle. Once they were freed, they, were taken to a hospital.
The second passenger was pronounced dead.
No names were released pending notification of next of kin.
