Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce grows to 2,246 members

A three-day effort by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce has led to a historic high in membership for the business group.

The "Your Chamber Connection Event" signed up 451 new members, bringing the total for the year to 2,246, said Sandra Brewer, the group's vice president of member investor services. That's the most members in the Chamber's 127-year history. "It was a great team effort."

She said 400 volunteers took part in the initiative that garnered $167,000 in new membership dues. "It showcased the nature of business in Chattanooga and the strength of Chamber membership," Brewer said.
