A woman died Friday afternoon in a single vehicle crash on Highway 58, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department.
Spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said the crash happened in the 8000 block around 3:10 p.m.
A southbound 2004 Honda left the roadway and hit a ditch, then went airborne and landed in some trees. The 35-year-old driver was thrown from the vehicle and killed. Atkinson said the woman's identity will be released after family notifications are made. She said the traffic investigation is in the preliminary stages.
