Among the top 100 metropolitan areas in America, annual pay was lowest for those with at least a bachelor’s degree in these cities:

• 1. Youngston, Ohio: Starting median pay of $36,800 and overall median pay of $45,400

• 2. McAllen, Tex.: Starting median pay of $39,000 and overall median pay of $45,600

• 3. Lakeland, Fla.: Starting median pay of $40,000 and overall median pay of $46,500

• 4. El Paso, Tex.: Starting median pay of 39,600 and overall median pay of $46,900

• 5. Scranton, Penn.: Starting median pay of $38,400 and overall median pay of $47,400

• 6. Little Rock, Ark.: Starting median pay of $40,900 and overall median pay of $47,700

• 7. Chattanooga: Starting median pay of $39,900 and overall median pay of $48,400

• 8. Columbia, S.C.: Starting median pay of $39,100 and overall median pay of $48,500

• 9. Lancaster, Pa.: Starting median pay of $41,400 and overall median pay of $49,000

• 10. Grand Rapids, Mich.: Starting median pay of $40,600 and overall median pay of $49,500
