BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Darnell Sweeney's two-run home run in the top of the 11th held up to give the Chattanooga Lookouts a 7-6 Southern League baseball victory Tuesday night when the Birmingham Barons managed only Trayce Thompson's leadoff homer in the bottom of the inning and left the tying run on second base.

Sweeney had four RBIs in the game. His single in the second inning scored Alex Liddi to put the Lookouts up 1-0.

Birmingham scored twice in the third inning, but Corey Seager doubled to lead off the fourth and scored on a Liddi single to tie the game at 2. Scott Schebler's homer and another Seager RBI hit in the eighth put the Lookouts ahead 5-4, but the Barons got even again on a Chris Curley single in the ninth.

Curley was 5-for-6 with three RBIs, but winning pitcher Blake Smith (1-4) got him out in the 11th.

Game four of the five-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Steve Smith (2-0, 2.85 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Chris Bassitt (2-0, 0.75) scheduled for the Barons.
