Officials in Loudon County report major damage in town of Philadelphia due to a storm system that swept through the area about 3 p.m.
In the small town of Philadelphia, Mayor Chris Miller said every street was blocked with trees and debris and there was a large amount of damage. He said he doesn't know if a tornado was the cause but it was a major weather event.
Loudon Police Chief James Webb said every emergency responder in the county has been dispatched and that the county emergency management agency has set up a command post at the scene.
