Two performers in residency at Cumberland County Playhouse will present a concert Friday, Aug. 22, that promises "one of the most eclectic music mixes you've ever heard."

Husband-and wife team Ron Murphy, resident music director, and Lauren Marshall, resident actress, will star in "Ron & Lauren: A to Z." That's "A" as in Broadway sensation Audra McDonald, "Z" as in British rock band Led Zeppelin, with a little of everything in between.

"We have operatic arias, art songs, musical theater, jazz, pop and rock in our set list," says Murphy. "And Lauren gets to sing classical arias in the same concert as gritty pop songs. How often does that get to happen?"

Joining the couple onstage will be Weslie Webster, Brenda Frye, Daniel Black and Quinn Cason, along with bassist Tony Greco and drummer Chet Hayes.
