Scenic City Chorus, the Chattanooga chapter of Sweet Adelines International, will present its annual Aca-Fest show at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in Frierson Theatre at Girls Preparatory School, 205 Island Ave.

The a cappella event features an array of pop, patriotic, inspirational and standard music.

Featured guest performers are Lunch Break, an award-winning men’s barbershop quartet that recently placed ninth in international competition, and young women, ages 14 to 25, who are participating in the Young Women in Harmony portion of Aca-Fest. They receive instruction on two songs to perform with Scenic City Chorus onstage. A Rising Star Competition allows young singers to compete for a cash scholarship, with a winner determined by audience vote.

Tickets are $15. For more information, call 423-413-3476 or visit
