16-year-old to be tried as adult in Lookout Valley triple slayings

Jacob Allison, 16, will be tried as an adult before a grand jury for his alleged involvement in the slaying of three people in Lookout Valley last April. He's been charged with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

His name has now been released because he will be tried as an adult.

Investigators say Allison drove his two friends, alleged gunmen Derek Morse, 19, and Skyler Allen, 22, on the night of the killings. All three face three charges of criminal homicide and one charge of attempted criminal homicide in the shootings. Allison's bond has been set at $525,000.

At the end of the hearing, Judge Robert Philyaw said to Allison, "This is not the end. ... Many times, it's not what we do but how we respond to those things that shows our true character."
