Chattanooga Mayor Berke picks Wilkins as deputy chief of staff

Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke has selected Justin Wilkins to serve as his deputy chief of staff.

Wilkins is a native Chattanoogan who has been state director of several advocacy and electoral groups, including Organizing for America and Organizing for Action.

Before that, he was a project manager for Profit Plans, a life insurance marketing group.

Wilkins has a degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in nonprofit management.

The deputy chief of staff position has been open since Jeff Cannon moved to chief operating officer last fall. Cannon has since left the administration. Brent Goldberg is now chief operating officer.
