DALTON, Ga. - Skyy Raven Marie Mims, an aspiring model and fashion designer, today pleaded not guilty to murder in the slaying of a 37-year-old Whitfield County convenience store clerk.

Mims, 21, was charged in March with stabbing Dahyabhai Kalidas Chaudhari in the back, snatching cash and lottery tickets from the Kanku's Express and fleeing to Atlanta.

But this afternoon in Whitfield County Superior Court, after Mims' first court appearance since her arrest, her lawyer said she was not involved in the crime and just happened to be in the area.

Bond for Mims was denied and her trial is set for November.
