A 15-year-old black male came into Erlanger hospital this evening about 7:30 p.m. with a single gunshot wound to his right shoulder, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
He said that the injury occurred at 3210 Taylor St., which is near the spot from where police received a call about 7 p.m. reporting the sound of shots being fired.
The investigation is ongoing and it is unclear at this time if the injury was self-inflicted.
