Humming House, an indie-folk band from Nashville, will be looking to bring down the house Friday, Aug. 29, at The Camp House, 1427 Williams St. The musicians recently opened for Emmylou Harris at Music City Roots and have been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered." Their second album, "Humming House Party," just three days old and inspired by a 1965 Beach Boys release, was recorded live with "50 of our closest friends" on hand, in an effort to "capture the fun atmosphere and raw energy of our live shows," says their blog. Their sound, a crossroads of folk, blues, gospel and bluegrass, has drawn comparisons to Old Crow Medicine Show, early Ryan Adams and BR549. War Jacket will open the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance, $12 day of. To purchase, call 423-702-8081 or visit thecamphouse.com.
