Ocoee Fest, a celebration of bands, brews and braving the rapids, returns for its second setup this weekend along the Ocoee River.

Camping is included in the ticket price for this stay-and-play festival, which will spotlight home brews on Saturday, Aug. 30, craft beers on Sunday, Aug. 31, music by four bands each evening and plenty of daylight hours for adventure seekers looking for an end-of-season rafting or kayaking trip on the world-class river.

If whitewater doesn't float your boat, you can fish, hike, bike or try some fancy footwork in Saturday's slackline competition. In slacklining, tightrope walking's "slacker" cousin, the flat, webbed line is not held rigidly taut but stretches and bounces like a long and narrow trampoline.

Dozens of brewers will again congregate on the river to let festivalgoers sample their creations. On Saturday, home brewers from around the Southeast will vie for prizes in the festival's second annual Home Brew Competition. Sunday spotlights the finest craft beers from Southern brewers. An ID showing you're 21 or older is required to be served.

All activities are centered at Adventures Unlimited, a full-service rafting company, and presented by BBB Paddling, an event promotions, production and management company.
