GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Three people are recovering after being injured in an explosion at a Gatlinburg resort.
Media reported a natural gas explosion that happened Saturday evening at Tree Tops Condos damaged three buildings and sent three people to area hospitals.
One person was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center while the other two were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Sevierville. Their names weren't released.
Fire officials evacuated 35 people immediately after the blast, but they were allowed to return on Sunday as crews worked to pinpoint where the gas leak started.
