Suspect arrested in area home invasions

Deangelo Lebron Lovingood has been charged with aggravated burglary and aggravated assault in connection with two early morning home invasions.

The first took place shortly after 3 when Chattanooga police received a call about a home invasion at 1300 Tunnel Blvd.

A news release from the police said a black male knocked on the victim's front door and then brandished a handgun, forcing his way in. The victim and suspect struggled until a neighbor was alerted and turned on an exterior light. The suspect fled and the victim called police.

Then another home invasion call came in from 1207 Belmeade Ave. where police discovered a black male who matched the description of the Tunnel Boulevard suspect had also forced his way into the home.

The suspect was soon located and taken into custody and was positively identified as being involved in both cases.
