Atlanta councilwoman pleads guilty to DUI charge

ATLANTA - A longtime member of the Atlanta City Council has pleaded guilty to a charge of driving under the influence and has been sentenced to probation.

WSB-TV reports that Councilwoman Cleta Winslow also must pay a $700 fine and perform community service following her guilty plea on Tuesday.

Atlanta police stopped her in May, saying she was driving on the wrong side of the road and ran a red light.

Winslow has been on the council since 1993.
