Another eclectic lineup is in place for the monthly Scenic City Roots concert tonight, Feb. 6, at Track 29, 1400 Market St.

Set to perform are 9th Street Stompers, Angel Snow, Sam Lewis and Kenny Vaughan Trio.

The Stompers are a new acoustic band of local all-stars with an affinity for swing, gypsy jazz, blues, rockabilly and tango. The band features Lon Eldridge, Skip Frontz Jr., Christie Burns, Bryan Gross, Dalton Chapman and John Boulware.

Snow has two albums to her credit and has written three songs recorded by none other than Alison Krauss & Union Station.

Lewis is a veteran Nashville songwriter whose self-titled debut features some of the city's top session players, including guitarist Kenny Vaughan.

Vaughan, appearing with his trio, grew up listening to jazz but also Flatt and Scruggs, and his playing reflects those influences.

The concerts are designed to showcase local and state musicians, and they are streamed live on Hippie 106.9 and recorded for future broadcast on public television stations across the state. Local affiliate WTCI-TV 45 carries the edited editions each Thursday at 9 p.m. The concert begins at 7 p.m., and admission is $10. For details, call 423-521-2929 or visit www.track29.co.
