BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A major manufacturer of hunting and fishing products is making moves in the Birmingham metropolitan area.

PRADCO Outdoor Brands is opening a new corporate office in Birmingham as part of a corporate consolidation.

The company also is moving into a 263,000-square-foot distribution center in the Shelby County town of Calera.

PRADCO is a subsidiary of EMSCO Industries Inc. Its hunting brands include Moultrie, Knight & Hale and Code Blue, and its fishing line includes Rebel, YUM, Lindy and Bomber Saltwater Grade.

PRADCO President Ron Ten Burge says the company's manufacturing and other operations will continue in Decatur, Ala., and Fort Smith, Ark.

The company describes itself as the world's largest maker of hunting and fishing products.
