Nashville firefighter fired after accusations of sex on duty

A Nashville Fire Department officer was fired this week after a disciplinary board found him guilty of having sex while on duty.

Joel H. Mitchell, 28, was accused of having sex in at least two fire stations in the city, according to a complaint filed with Nashville Fire Department officials.

His union representative said he will appeal the panel's decision to the Metro City Service Commission, according to multiple media reports.
