Ask A Doctor: What can be done so that I look my best when I get married?

Thursday, February 20, 2014

Q: I am getting married soon and want to know some quick and effective means to look my best. What can be done?

A: In planning for your big day, there is much to be done. Fortunately, there are options for facial rejuvenation that have no down time and will have you ready in time. For general facial improvement, the best options are a chemical peel or fractional laser treatment. These result in a more youthful appearance (more even skin tone and smoothness) over the entire face. For more focused areas, options include Botox or filler injections. Botox is excellent to treat the forehead and crow's feet area around the eyes. Various fillers are available depending on your needs and are intended to treat deeper lines or folds around the mouth and cheek areas. These options are appropriate not only for the bride but also for any member of the wedding party or guests, women and men.
