Friends of the Library book sale at Northgate

Friends of the Library will return to Northgate Mall in Hixson for the first FOL Book Sale of 2014.

Proceeds from the sales go toward various programs of the Chattanooga Public Library. One of the goals this year, according to Friends spokeswoman Christine Hockert, is to help support second-floor projects for teens and tweens at the main library downtown, as well as the facility's children's programs.

The sale will run through two Saturdays, Feb. 22 to March 1, and coincide with regular mall hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

The sale will be set up in the old Pro Golf storefront, which has an outside entrance on the west side of the mall between Belk and Old Navy.
