Dan Wadley resigned today as McCallie School’s basketball coach after eight seasons and more than 130 wins.
“The timing was just right for me to do it now,” Wadley said. “I will continue teaching at the school, and I’m not retiring from coaching. I’m still available if the right offer came along.
“I have been thinking about this since November and decided this was the right time to do it.”
Wadley coached the Blue Tornado to the 2011 Division II state championship game and to two other Final Four appearances. His McCallie record was 132-82. He previously had a successful run as Tennessee Temple’s high school coach.
