Two baseball teams ranked in the NAIA preseason top 20 met Sunday in Athens, Tenn., and No. 8 host Tennessee Wesleyan beat No. 19 Point Park from Pennsylvania 13-2.

Both teams have struggled to live up to their preseason billing in the early going, Point Park having just lost three of four games at Bryan, but Wesleyan seemed to warm up with weather this weekend and is now 5-7.

Tim Kiene homered and drove in five runs, while Logan Dalton batted in two and scored two, Ryan Phillips went 3-for-4 and James Boddicker, Matt Malloy and Shell McCain each had two of the Bulldogs' 15 hits. They scored single runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings and erupted for four in the seventh and six in the eighth.

• At Sewanee, the host Tigers lost 12-4 to Earlham on Sunday after beating the Indiana team 9-2 and 3-2 on Saturday. In the 9-2 game, Ben Clune was 3-for-5, Jack Rogers had two hits and three RBIs, Michael Walker tripled and singled and drove in two runs, Jackson Cooper also had two RBIs and Tony Dykes and Nate Barnett each was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Sewanee (4-1).

Charles Warren and three relievers in that game and Marshall Ussery and Alex Mockett in game two provided solid pitching, and Dykes was 3-for-4 and Zack Sutton and Blake Bays had RBIs in the 3-2 victory.

The Quakers scored four runs in each of the last two innings Sunday to salvage one win in their opening series. Whaley was 3-for-5 and Walker tripled for the Tigers.

• At Huntsville, Ala., Lee lost 6-2 to Alabama-Huntsville after losing 4-3 and winning 3-1 in their Gulf South Conference doubleheader Saturday.

Andres Nelo and Josh Silver each was 2-for-4 with a double and Nelo drove in both runs Sunday for Lee (9-4, 3-3), while Blake Massey was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for UAH (10-4, 4-2). Nelo was 2-for-2 and scored a run and Silver, Jordan Stewart and Josh Tate had the RBIs behind Nikolay Uherek's and Kyle Briner's combined three-hitter Saturday, after Stewart's ninth-inning homer provided all the Flames' runs in the one-run loss.

• At Harriman, Tenn., Cleveland State won the finale of its TCCAA series at Roane State, 7-4, as Anthony Hunt went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored and Jared Davis and Cameron Strickland each had one hit, one RBI and two runs.

Josh Morgan (2-1) pitched the first six innings for the Cougars (8-4), allowing one hit, five walks and two runs -- one earned. Raunel Perez, Matt Roueche' and Brandon Leonard pitched the last three innings, each allowing a hit. J.T. O'Reel was 2-for-4 and Andrew Henson doubled in two runs for Roane State (4-10).
