Claire Tuley, a Chattanooga paralegal, took on seven-day "Jeopardy" champ Arthur Chu on Thursday night's episode. She finished second on the popular game show.

Host Alex Trebek noted at the game's opening that Chu's seven-day winnings of $178,000 had boosted him into the game show's Top 10 Money-Makers of All Time. Chu found all three Daily Doubles on Thursday night, and wagered large amounts of cash in order to have a commanding lead of $44,200 over Tuley's $6,000 by end of regular play.

All three contestants gave the correct answer in Final Jeopardy. Chu finished his eighth win with a daily total of $58,200, and $236,200 for his eight wins.

Tuley raised her daily total to $8,000 to place second. She received $2,000 in prize money as the runner-up. Third-place contestant Chris Sanchez of Chaparral, N.M., received $1,000.
