A Dekalb County, Ala., man has been arrested on charges of enticing a child to enter a vehicle for immoral purposes.

31-year-old Daniel Edmond Nixon of Section was arrested Thursday afternoon after DeKalb County investigators intercepted him in route to pick up a 14-year-old girl, according to the sheriff's office.

The investigators were contacted Wednesday morning by concerned parents who discovered their daughter was communicating with a man on the internet. The parents found disturbing information when they checked the 14-year-olds phone and immediately turned it over to investigators.

"These parents ... checking their daughters' phone may have saved her life. It certainly kept her from being a victim," Sheriff Jimmy Harris said in a news release ."This young girl was in more danger than I can explain."

It appears that Nixon was using at least one fake Facebook account to communicate with females, according to a news release. The fake account had more than 200 friends on it, all of which were female.

Evidence seized shows dozens of young females in various sexual acts, the sheriff's department stated in a news release. The evidence has been sent to the FBI for forensic evaluation.

Nixon is also charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after drugs were found in his vehicle after his arrest.
