ATLANTA - Police say a second suspect has been charged with murder and armed robbery in the killing of a U.S. Army soldier, who was fatally shot on an Atlanta bike path.

Atlanta police say 22-year-old Qutravius Jermaine Palmer turned himself in Wednesday and was being held in the DeKalb County Jail. Jail records do not indicate whether Palmer has an attorney.

Police say 21-year-old Xavier Arnold was fatally shot Dec. 26 in the Kirkwood neighborhood. Police have said a second man was wounded in his leg, and the shooter's motive was likely robbery.

Police earlier arrested a juvenile, who also faces murder and robbery charges.
