Small fire quickly put out in vacant Stowe building in Lupton City

The Chattanooga Fire Department has reported it quickly put out a small fire in the old R.L. Stowe Mills building in Lupton City this morning.

The building was vacant and is currently being demolished.

Lt. Andrew Waters of the Fire Investigation Division said the fire was most likely caused by a homeless person who had a fire to stay warm but burned a hole in the wood floor.
