Unum awarding $50,000 in grants to 52 Hamilton County teachers

Unum will be awarding $50,000 in grants in 52 Hamilton County teachers during a luncheon to be held Wednesday.

The grants from the insurer are in recognition of effective and creative ways to engage students and improve their learning and achievement levels, a news release said.

Tom White, Unum senior vice president of investor relations, Wendy Gibson, vice president of Unum's service center, Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Rick Smith and other city leaders will be on hand for the luncheon and grant presentation.
