Georgia man's comic collection worth nearly $30,000 stolen from storage

AUGUSTA, Ga. — An eastern Georgia man told police that someone burglarized his storage unit and stole his collection of nearly 30,000 comic books.

The Augusta Chronicle reports a 46-year-old man told police he was keeping his comic book collection at a storage building at a friend's house. He says the 85-box collection may have been stolen between Nov. 13 and Dec. 30.

The man told police that the collection included X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four comics and more. He said some of the comic books were signed.

Police say the man's collection is worth about $29,750.
