Deaths of 2 Georgia men ruled accidental drowning, hypothermia

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. - Investigators say the deaths of two Dawson County men whose bodies were pulled from Lake Lanier have been ruled as accidental.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Sherry Lang says investigators have cited accidental drowning and hypothermia as the manner of death for Mason Cox and David Wood, both 20.

The men's bodies were recovered Friday, more than a week after they were reported missing.

The men's relatives have said they planned to go on an early morning fishing trip on Jan. 2.
