Two accused of stealing 8-year-old Alabama girl's doll

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Tuscaloosa police say they've identified one of two suspects accused of stealing a doll from an 8-year-old girl at a Walmart.

Sgt. Brent Blankley said in a statement today that a male and female suspect were seen pushing a shopping cart through the store on Dec. 14 and a surveillance camera was recording when the man took a doll from someone else's cart and put it into his.

Blankley says the owner of the doll was looking at clothes with her grandmother and had momentarily stepped away from their cart.

Blankley says police have identified the woman from the video, but her identity has not been released.

Still images from the store's surveillance camera show the female suspect sitting inside the shopping cart holding a car seat.
